当初はエレメカ製品の設計と開発に根ざしていた「デジタルツイン」は、その起源を超え、エンジニアリング、製造、そしてサポートにとどまらない包括的な複数属性のモデリングと分析をカバーするまでに拡大しました。複数属性のモデリングとシミュレーションは、CIMdataのプロダクトイノベーションプラットフォームの定義の中核をなすものであり、ほとんどの産業界用のPLM戦略と実装の基礎・根拠となっています。ここでのプレゼンテーションは、デジタルツインに関するCIMdataの専門知識を鑑み、デジタルツインと関連するトピックを明らかにして定義し、産業界とソフトウェア/サービスプロバイダーの両者からの視点を提供します。

Initially rooted in electro-mechanical product design and development, ‘digital twin’ has expanded beyond its origins to cover comprehensive multi-attribute modeling and analysis from beyond engineering, manufacturing, and support. Multi-attribute modeling and simulation is core to CIMdata’s definition of the Product Innovation Platform, which underlies most industrial PLM strategies and implementations. The upcoming presentations will consider CIMdata’s expertise on digital twins, define the digital twin and related topics, and provide perspectives from both industry and software/service providers.

CIMdata’s research gathered information using online surveys targeted at industrial participants and software and service providers. This presentation will summarize the findings of our industrial survey to guide the PLM Economy on how to support this important concept better.

(Digital Twins: The PLM Economy Perspective)

多くのソリューションプロバイダーやサービスプロバイダーは、すでに産業界の顧客企業内でデジタルツインをサポートしています。CIMdataのリサーチでは、主要なソリューションプロバイダーやサービスプロバイダーから、この要件を満たす上で各社が直面する課題について情報を収集しました。

2019年のフォーラムのテーマは「Augmented Intelligence: Applications Across the　Lifecycle (拡張インテリジェンス：製品ライフサイクル全体のアプリケーション) 」でした。このイベントで私たちは、アナリティクスと拡張知能/機械学習 (AI/ML) の製品ライフサイクルへの応用について議論しました。そして今日、状況は進化し、ChatGPTのような画期的なテクノロジーの台頭により、新たな関心が高まっています。これらのイノベーションは、デジタルツインとの相互接続とともに、インテリジェントソリューションの新時代への道を開き、このトピックを再考する時期に来ています。

In 2019, the theme for our forum was “Augmented Intelligence: Applications Across the Lifecycle.” At that event we discussed the application of analytics and Augmented Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) to the product lifecycle. Fast forward to today, the landscape has evolved, and the rise of groundbreaking technologies, such as ChatGPT, have led to renewed interest. These innovations, along with their interconnectedness to digital twins, have paved the way for a new era in intelligent solutions and make it time to revisit this topic.
